- Here are some steps you can try:
  - Be sure to double-check system requirements and game prerequisites. You can find system requirements on our Steam page or in Section 3.1. Game prerequisites and details on their installation can be found in Section 3.2.
  - In rare cases, game files may become corrupted during game installation or update. Try to “Verify integrity of game files” (Section 4.2) or uninstalling the game and downloading it again.
  - In rare cases, save game files may cause the game to crash. See Section 4.3 for how to delete save files.
  - Temporarily disable Antivirus and check if the game will launch. If so, create an exception for the game's Exe and folder in Antivirus:

- Go to: https://mindfaux.com/report and fill out the submission form. If necessary, we will contact you via email for additional information or support.
- Each save file has its own version. A Game progress or option file is incompatible if its version is below the minimum required Game version. This system exists to prevent possible game crashes or bugs when something is changed in the core gameplay or game settings. The minimum required version is changed on our side; we will notify users as soon as possible via Steam update notes about upcoming minimum required versions.

Player can’t use the Submit button to progress through the first mini-game in the Museum on the Steam Deck

Some of the game prerequisites (Direct X and Visual C++ Redistributables) should be automatically installed when Steam downloads the game, but the versions of prerequisites provided by Steam and Unreal Engine may differ. You can try installing them manually, using the links below, or using "UEPrereqSetup_x64.exe" located in ...steamapps\common\Mind Faux The First Compliance\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us.

In some cases, Visual C++ Redistributable (2022) may fail to install, with a common error: “Installing MS Visual C++ : The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable”.
1. Delete all instances of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015, 2017, 2019 from your computer (you can use Programs and Features in Control Panel)
2. Try again installing Visual C++ Redistributable 2022
3. If the same problem persists, use the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab (https://download.microsoft.com/download/7/E/9/7E9188C0-2511-4B01-8B4E-0A641EC2F600/MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab)
4. Run the tool, press "Next", and select “Uninstalling” (Are you having a problem with installing or uninstalling a program?)
5. Select any instance of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015, 2017, 2019 (since you can’t select multiple programs at the same time, you must start the tool again each time)
6. Try again installing Visual C++ Redistributable 2022
7. If the same problem persists, you can try manually deleting the values from the Registry Editor
8. Open "regedit" and navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products"
9. Go through each one of the child keys looking for the ones containing a product name such as "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015...", "Microsoft Visual C++ 2019...", "Microsoft Visual C++ 2022...", etc and DELETE the child key (tree node) that contains them (right click -> delete)
10. Try again installing Visual C++ Redistributable 2022
Upon game launch, you should receive if your graphics card driver is outdated or incompatible. In some cases, even when you are not notified, drivers can cause issues. Try updating or installing a different version of graphics driver via the Vendor's official application (Nvidia, AMD, Intel) or official website.
